We had a great Chirstmas this year, and are loving establishing some traditions with our kids. We stayed home this year (so nice) and my dad came out. Unfortunately everyone over the weekend ended up with a stomache bug. Not a very nice thing for Christmas, but we all still enjoyed time together and being with family.
This is not a Christmas thing but, still funny!!
Tyler with Santa
Lydia with Santa
A tradition started last year, ginger bread men
Our yearly family in front of the Christmas tree.
Tyler is holding Beau's belt and kept calling it a seat belt
Making graham cracker houses at Rigg and Kims
Tyler being very focused on his house.
This is the first year he has wanted to participate in the decorating part,
He still probably did more eating though ; )
The kids out finding treasures with Papa.
(change he had thrown in the grass, and the next day chocolate coins wrapped in gold foil)
CHRISTMAS MORNING
Lydia gets Raggedy Anne and Andy from Grandma Miller
Santa brought just what she wanted!
Tyler gets a tractor from Grandma Miller
Papa got the kids sleeping bags with flashlights and water bottles
The flashlights were a big hit!
I made quiet books for the kids
Brandon gets a noisy police truck from Papa
Our big gift for the kids is a new chair for Brandon... okay it's a wii
Nana knitted sweaters and hats for all of the kids
lips were a stocking stuffer from Papa
After presents we just had Sacrament Meeting at church. It was a really nice Christmas program. Then we came home and let the kids play with their new presents and set up the wii. That night we had a nice ham dinner with Rigg and Kim, played Mario Kart and Just Dance together, and chatted.
Christmas night the kids are playing with the calculators on dad and papa's smart phones.
Maybe we should have just gotten them calculators for Christmas???
I hope you all had a great Christmas and wish you a Happy New Year!!
