December/Christmas

December is always so fun as we lead up to Christmas.  Beau and I hosted a white elephant pie party and really enjoyed the night with friends.  Including the hilarious fanny pack that Beau ended up with.  We got a little snow here and there, nothing stayed very long.  The kids built and played in it as much as they could before it melted.  My mom and her husband Dave came out and visited for a few days.  The kids had fun trying out pheasant hunting.   We didn't get anything, but they had fun trekking around and playing with the ice on the water.  Christmas Eve we went caroling with two other families in our ward to about a dozen homes.    We really enjoyed that, and I didn't get any pictures. The kids got to open their jammies and book on Christmas Eve as well. Christmas was pretty quiet.  We opened gifts together and spent the day playing with them.  We enjoyed a nice dinner together and were too full to eat pie.  New Years Eve was just us as well.  The kids have decided they like to stay up until midnight too.  We enjoyed snacks, football, puzzles and counting down.  Now off to an amazing 2019!

An electronic circuit kit.  Maybe an electrical engineer in the making

An Mp3 player so she doesn't have to listen to the bad language of the high school kids on the bus

When Beau's mom passed away we got a box of all his pictures growing up.  I put them all into an album for him for Christmas.
